Photos: Evans Adult School hosts LAUSD Board's Ad Hoc Committee
Full house at Evans Adult School on Monday, November 18 for the LAUSD Board Ad Hoc Committee on Adult/Career Education. Once again the community demonstrates to LAUSD's Board of Education how important Adult/Career Ed is!
Juan Noguera, poster child of Adult/Career Education success, is an amazing advocate for our programs. He is currently a teacher at Evans Community Adult School, where he once attended as an ESL student and got his diploma.
Board Members seen in this photo (left to right): Steve Zimmer, Bennett Kayser & Monica Ratliff. Marguerite LaMotte is also a member of the committee.
Community to LAUSD: Adult/Career Ed is Top 2 Budget Priority!
LAUSD has released the results of the community survey taken and Expanding Adult Education was chosen at the top two choice for "investing new money"!
The community has spoken loud and clear: 6110 votes were cast in support of expanding Adult/Career Education.
United Adult Students is proud to have actively participated in getting the word out to students, teachers and the broader community about the survey, as you will recall from the flyer we distributed, as well as previous posts online.
Now is the time to fully restore our programs! Click here to download entire report. Highlights:
